We try to repair first
A tankless error code does not automatically mean you need a new unit. We try to repair tankless water heaters whenever a reasonable repair is available.
Tank-to-tankless conversions
Conversions can involve gas supply and sizing, venting, electrical requirements, condensate drainage, layout, service/isolation valves, equipment sizing, and water-treatment planning. We evaluate the whole installation instead of pretending every conversion is identical.
Hard water + neglect = expensive little box
Neglected maintenance and hard-water scale are two of the biggest tankless problems Smith & Sons sees. That is why we offer flushing/descaling and talk about water treatment when a homeowner invests in tankless equipment.
What we care about on the install
Sizing, gas supply, venting, condensate, electrical, isolation valves, neat piping, cleanup, controls, and water quality all matter. The whole thing should look intentional and remain serviceable later.
Maintenance note
Tankless units need maintenance. Exact public intervals should follow the manufacturer and the home’s water conditions. Final manufacturer-specific wording will be verified before launch.
