First: make sure we are fixing the right thing
Many sewer problems start as a stoppage. We clear the line when possible, then camera-inspect when the situation calls for a closer look. If the camera shows a defect, we locate it and build the repair around the actual condition.
Spot repair or replacement?
A single reasonably accessible defect may be a candidate for a spot repair. Larger or multiple defects may justify broader excavation or replacement. The recommendation depends on what the pipe looks like and where the problem is located.
What if the break is under the house?
When a drain or sewer defect is beneath the slab, Smith & Sons can perform under-slab tunnel work when appropriate. Tunneling is a drain/sewer repair path for us—not how we normally repair a pressurized water-line slab leak.
We want you to see the problem
When camera footage is available, we show the customer what we are seeing and can send video when useful. That does not make sewer repair cheap. It makes the recommendation easier to understand.
